A Word From Our Sponsors...The Wedding Issue

Good afternoon to you all! We hope you're enjoying the Christmas festivities and catching up on all the boxes-we're blogging away as fast as we can to keep up with demand, not an easy task we can tell you but it's exciting to see what you're all sending and receiving!

Today we're doing a wedding special with two of our sponsors...

Idyllic Days

"For a quintessentially English affair, celebrate the good times and reminisce a bygone era with a vintage themed party. As the UK’s original vintage crockery and venue styling company, Idyllic Days is the one-stop shop for those looking for a fun and quirky alternative to the modern day celebration.
Catering for parties of five to 500 guests in and around London and the South-East, Idyllic Days has an unrivalled mix and match collection of the prettiest vintage tea sets, china and accessories available for hire. From traditional English garden parties and village fetes to country weddings and corporate events, Idyllic Days will provide the ideal setting for those planning or hosting a vintage inspired occasion.

For an added touch of decadence, Idyllic Days can also be hired for event styling. Working alongside event organisers and individuals, Idyllic Days creates a comprehensive design brief, incorporating the hire collection where appropriate. The talented team of stylists will work to the brief and use their creative eye to set up and add the finishing touches to complete the look."

The Idyllic Days Etsy site also sells handmade decorations and bespoke vintage cake stands.

Crafted With Love

Artists and participant Nicky Jeffery of Crafted With Love stationery has a real way with origami...

"I am an art and design lecturer by day and crafty crafter by night and at weekends and on school holidays and....well you get it, I love to design and make beautiful stationery for peoples special days.

I make all my cards by hand which means they are all adaptable to the customers needs and you won't find the same thing anywhere else.

I do a range of card styles from Origami hearts, stitched paper, vintage buttons, lino cuts, beading and screen printing, all of which can be made to the customer's exact specifications.

All wedding invitations and cards come in any choice of colours, papers and inserts.
Bespoke designs are also available for clients after a consultation (either in person or via email) to reflect their wedding theme or style.

To accompany the wedding invitations I can also make name cards, guest books, table plans, origami favours, menus etc, all you have to decide is what you need and what colours you want!

I also make cards and origami crafts for other occasions, just drop me a line with the special event you have in mind and I can whip you up a special card for that special persons special day."

A Most Curious Vintage Wedding Fair

Two bridal events are coming up in 2012, completely unrelated to The Curiosity Project, but still very good friends of ours and following the success of their first event in Norwich last year, A Most Curious Wedding Fair will be returning to both Norwich AND London next year. Grant-Riley Weddings will be exhibiting at the East London event and we cannot wait to meet the newly engaged brides and grooms!

Check their site for updates and exhibitor information. We look forward to seeing you there!
