Kyle Bean Objet D'Art

It's been a truly wonderful weekend for me, having all the family in one place to celebrate my son's 2nd birthday after so, so long. The weather was perfect and spending time in the company of those I love the most left me feeling restored and positive, ready to start the coming week.

So here we are, Monday, Monday. Much of my time blogging is spent hunting for inspiration I connect with to share with you and today's post is all of that and a whole lot more. Whilst a bit of mindless pretty is nice enough now and then, today's post is intended to make you take a really good look, study and think.

Allow me to introduce to you the work of Kyle Bean, a 3-dimensional designer, model crafter and artistic director. A 2009 graduate of Brighton University, Kyle's work is smashing the design and media world with publications such as Wallpaper*, Vogue, The New York Times and GQ under his belt to name but a few.

As a stylist I was instantly drawn to Kyle's work, particularly the delicate small scale pieces. I love the way he uses ordinary, every day objects, materials and textures to create a whole new image. Imagine the hours that went into creating these!
