Dutch By Design: Jansen+Co

I found these beauties whilst delving into the wonderland of the Selfridges homeware department over the weekend-one of my favourite retail experiences without doubt. Not surprisingly, they're a Dutch company (although at first glance I assumed they were Swedish by the name) and it was the combination of colour and clean lines that caught my eye from way up the escalator.

I was immediately drawn to the mid-century style ceramics which looked like they stepped straight out of the Festival of Britain, not surprising given that the name given to the diamond printed mugs is 'Festival'. Created in Amsterdam by Anouk Jansen and Harm Magis, the Jansen+Co collection is so playful, I love the results you can achieve by mixing and matching the pieces and the injection of grey keeps them bang up to date. Most definitely a brand worth investing in, these quirky designs are something to keep in the family as a talking point if nothing else. Yes, we do talk about ceramics in our household!
